Overview
We collect only the information needed to run the service: text/voice/tone choices for audio generation, account/auth data required for sign-in, profile settings for this app (including profile name), optional support emails you send us (including your account email and issue details), and service/usage metrics (if analytics is enabled). We do not sell or share your text or generated audio with third parties.
Data We Process
- Text you submit for text-to-speech generation.
- Selections for voice type, tone, and visualizer preferences.
- Authentication data (Zideons SSO + Firebase): account email used for sign-in and non-persistent ID/session tokens used to authorize requests. Tokens are verified server-side and not stored long term.
- Profile data for this app stored in Firestore: your profile name and update timestamp.
- A normalized profile-name uniqueness index in Firestore to prevent duplicate profile names across users.
- Support email details you provide (for example: account email, issue description, bug reproduction steps, and optional screenshots).
- Basic technical data (e.g., timestamps, request status) for reliability and abuse prevention.
- Usage/analytics data (page views, device/browser info, coarse geolocation, and interactions) if Google Analytics is enabled.
How We Use Your Data
- To generate audio via the Gemini API.
- To authenticate you and authorize protected actions (Firebase ID tokens).
- To let you set and display a profile name in this app and enforce unique profile names.
- To keep the app reliable, secure, and performant (including rate limiting and abuse prevention).
- To respond to support requests, account questions, bug reports, and feature requests sent by email.
- To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the experience (if analytics is enabled).
- To troubleshoot errors and improve user experience.
Retention
Text and generated audio are kept only as long as needed to fulfill your request. Profile data in this app (including profile name and uniqueness index records) is retained until you remove it or delete your account in this app. Authentication and operational logs (including auth events) are typically retained up to 90 days for diagnostics, security, and abuse prevention, then pruned. Support communications may be retained until resolved or up to 12 months, then removed. You can request deletion of support communications by contacting us.
Third-Party Services
- Gemini API (Google): receives your text and voice/tone choices to generate audio.
- Firebase Authentication: manages sign up/login and issues ID tokens used to authorize API calls.
- Google Cloud Firestore: stores this app's profile settings (profile name, update timestamp, and uniqueness index).
- Google Analytics: enabled on this site to collect usage metrics (page views, device/browser info, coarse geolocation, interactions). Google sets its own cookies; you can block or delete them in your browser or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Google Ads/AdSense: ad scripts may run on this site. Ad partners may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure impressions, prevent fraud, and personalize/limit ads. You can manage these in your browser settings or Google Ad settings.
International Users
Data is processed on Google infrastructure (which may be in the U.S. or other regions). If you are in the EU/UK/CA, you may request access or deletion of personal data via the contact page.
Age
This service is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). Do not submit personal data for such users.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We do not set custom application cookies today. Google Analytics and Google Ads/AdSense may set their own cookies or similar identifiers to provide analytics and advertising functions. You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings or through Google's Ads and Analytics controls.
Third-Party Links and Ads
The app may show links or advertisements that lead to third-party sites. We do not control or endorse their content or policies. If you follow a link, review that site's privacy policy and terms before sharing personal or sensitive information.
Downloads
Downloaded audio files save directly to your device. We do not store or back up downloaded copies. Any operational logs noting a successful download do not include the audio content.
Your Choices
- Do not submit sensitive personal information in the text area.
- You can update your profile name from the Profile page.
- You can delete your TTS app profile/account from the Profile page. This removes profile data stored by this app. Your separate profile data on zideons.com is not deleted by this action.
