Privacy Policy

Overview

We collect only the information needed to run the service: text/voice/tone choices for audio generation, account/auth data required for sign-in, profile settings for this app (including profile name), optional support emails you send us (including your account email and issue details), and service/usage metrics (if analytics is enabled). We do not sell or share your text or generated audio with third parties.

Data We Process

  • Text you submit for text-to-speech generation.
  • Selections for voice type, tone, and visualizer preferences.
  • Authentication data (Zideons SSO and app session data): account email used for sign-in, short-lived sign-in state, and session data used to authorize protected requests and access protected pages such as the Profile page.
  • Profile data for this app stored in Firestore: your profile name and update timestamp.
  • A normalized profile-name uniqueness index in Firestore to prevent duplicate profile names across users.
  • Usage allowance data used to track daily free Z-Coin spend and the time remaining until the next reset at midnight U.S. Eastern Time.
  • Usage-event records used for diagnostics, cost estimation, abuse prevention, and service planning. These records may include action type, timestamps, request IP, estimated token counts, estimated provider cost, and request metadata such as text length or generated output size.
  • Support email details you provide (for example: account email, issue description, bug reproduction steps, and optional screenshots).
  • Basic technical data (e.g., timestamps, request status) for reliability and abuse prevention.
  • Usage/analytics data (page views, device/browser info, coarse geolocation, and interactions) if Google Analytics is enabled.

How We Use Your Data

  • To generate audio via the Gemini API.
  • To authenticate you, maintain your signed-in session, and authorize protected actions and pages.
  • To let you set and display a profile name in this app and enforce unique profile names.
  • To provide and enforce the app's daily free Z-Coin allowance, which resets at midnight U.S. Eastern Time.
  • To estimate provider cost, monitor app usage, investigate abuse, and support service planning using usage-event records.
  • To keep the app reliable, secure, and performant (including rate limiting and abuse prevention).
  • To respond to support requests, account questions, bug reports, and feature requests sent by email.
  • To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the experience (if analytics is enabled).
  • To troubleshoot errors and improve user experience.

Retention

Text and generated audio are kept only as long as needed to fulfill your request. Profile data in this app (including profile name and uniqueness index records) is retained until you remove it or delete your account in this app. Daily allowance counters and usage-event records are retained only as needed to operate the free Z-Coin allowance, estimate service cost, diagnose issues, and support abuse prevention and service operations, then pruned according to operational needs. Authentication and operational logs (including auth events) are typically retained up to 90 days for diagnostics, security, and abuse prevention, then pruned. Support communications may be retained until resolved or up to 12 months, then removed. You can request deletion of support communications by contacting us.

Third-Party Services

  • Gemini API (Google): receives your text and voice/tone choices to generate audio.
  • Zideons SSO and app session handling: manages sign up/login and signed-in session state for protected app pages and API calls.
  • Google Cloud Firestore: stores this app's profile settings (profile name, update timestamp, and uniqueness index), daily allowance data, and usage-event records.
  • Google Analytics: enabled on this site to collect usage metrics (page views, device/browser info, coarse geolocation, interactions). Google sets its own cookies; you can block or delete them in your browser or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
  • Google Ads/AdSense: ad scripts may run on this site. Ad partners may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure impressions, prevent fraud, and personalize/limit ads. You can manage these in your browser settings or Google Ad settings.

Z-Coin Status

We currently provide a daily free Z-Coin allowance. Z-Coins, whether granted for free or purchased, have no cash value and are intended only for use within participating Zideons apps and services. Coin packs are not yet available for purchase. If paid coin packs are introduced later, we may collect and store additional transaction, billing, or refund-related information, and we will update this policy before those features launch.

International Users

Data is processed on Google infrastructure (which may be in the U.S. or other regions). If you are in the EU/UK/CA, you may request access or deletion of personal data via the contact page.

Age

This service is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). Do not submit personal data for such users.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use essential application cookies or equivalent session storage to keep you signed in and protect authenticated routes and requests. Google Analytics and Google Ads/AdSense may also set their own cookies or similar identifiers to provide analytics and advertising functions. You can manage non-essential cookies in your browser settings or through Google's Ads and Analytics controls, but blocking essential session cookies may prevent sign-in from working correctly.

Performance Caching

To improve performance and reduce loading times, the application uses in-memory caching to temporarily store frequently accessed data such as user profiles, voice/tone options, and usage statistics.

  • Cache is stored in server memory and cleared when the application restarts.
  • Cached data expires automatically based on configured timeouts (typically 1-15 minutes).
  • Cache is invalidated when underlying data is updated to ensure freshness.
  • Caching is used solely for performance optimization and does not change how your data is stored, shared, or retained. All cached data is subject to the same privacy protections as the underlying database storage.

Third-Party Links and Ads

The app may show links or advertisements that lead to third-party sites. We do not control or endorse their content or policies. If you follow a link, review that site's privacy policy and terms before sharing personal or sensitive information.

Downloads

Downloaded audio files save directly to your device. We do not store or back up downloaded copies. Any operational logs noting a successful download do not include the audio content.

Your Choices

  • Do not submit sensitive personal information in the text area.
  • You can update your profile name from the Profile page.
  • You can delete your TTS app profile/account from the Profile page. This removes profile data stored by this app. Your separate profile data on zideons.com is not deleted by this action.
  • If you need data removed from logs, contact us.
